Picked up a PC off ebay, the seller is using Interparcel. Nothing wrong with that I hear you say.

It would be if they had even the slightest glimmer of inteligence among their staff. You supply an address for delivery & expect it to be delivered. But they used a postcode search system that's over 7 years out of date. Instead of delivering my PC to the property number, street, town, county & postcode I supplied, they went looking for a business name I didn't provide & hasn't existed at this address for over 7 years.
Now we have many small shops around us, did the driver ask any of these nice people...all of which would know where to send him?...... No. Did he pop into the post office two doors down?......... Did he ~~~~! The lazy twat didn't even get out of the van.

It was taken back to the depot with a report that stated a business or recipient name was required for delivery. My name should be right at the top of the address, as supplied to the seller.

~~~~ing called the useless twats & got it re-arranged for tomorrow. But they can't guarentee that the driver won't try to deliver the package before 9:30, which is when we open.
Useless bloody retards!!! Why would someone try to deliver a package when they've been told there won't be anyone there until after a given time??!!!

If I actually see the driver I'll post back the approximate I.Q. level of the moron.

interparcel..they delivered my dreambox, eventually, after trying to deliver me not one..but 2 prams.
10:00 a stroller, 13:00 a graco travel system. 17:00 my dreambox.. this is with their 24hr delivery after box was scanned as being picked up them at 11:00 the previous day

I download a batch of sideward facing foo-foo valves just before xmas
used Courier Services | Express Parcel Delivery Company | Parcel2Go FANTASTIC - same parcel was something like 130 quid if went direct to DHL (15 Kilos from Liverpool to Meat-City)

Got it for 28 quid, but as they cost 300 quid had them insured.

Only thing i would say is, keep getting shite in my coldmail e-mail account
so if a one off, just use a temparay e-mail address

The first delivery attempt in bold, oh shit, I mean the only delivery attempt in bold, is where my initial rant started.

I called them & made sure they have the correct details. This was then overided by the couriers UPS because they are either complete cornflake dribblers or Interparcel didn't pass on the details.
What sort of idiot tries to call a small retail unit at 18:31?!! We, like everyone else except the bookies, close at 5pm.

Just arranged to pick the package up from their depot.

Most courier drivers work from 6am until finished which can be 7 or 8pm and get paid a pittance to deliver several hundred parcels to 70 to 120 plus different delivery addresses spread over large areas, just to get abuse from Assholes like you.

this is why they deliver parcels, too stupid to do anything else, my mates brother thick courier, decided to drive a van into a river at 70 MPH, dumb ~~~~, van was written off, he drowned, he was the only person who could watch '2 girls 1 cup' in full.

When you give someone an address to deliver a package to, you expect them to do that simple job.
They were given..

My name
123 shop street
town
county
postcode

They decided to add a detail I had not given to them

My name
old business name 7 years out of date
123 shop street
etc

The driver, not able to find the long defunct business, was completely dumbfounded by the '123 shop street' address so returned my delivery to the depot.

I wonder if I'd get a job as a courier if I don't turn up for the interview. My reason being that I couldn't find the business name above the door, so I went home & waited for them to contact me to confirm the correct address & arrange a new interview?

No other courier or postie has ever had a problem delivering to this address. Kind of hard to defend the actions of this numpty.

Just to correct you on an assumption you have made about my 'privilaged position' & 'working hours'. Yes I am here part time, but that doesn't make me rich..far from it. I'm here on a voluntary basis, mainly due to the fact I need training & can't get the funding. So I give them my experience in marketing & they train me in repairs & unlocking.
The shop is open 9:30 till 5, I wasn't here all that time...but someone else was, so it's a better address for large deliveries.

Why not read back through all my posts. I never rant about something without just cause. Neither do I directly insult a member of the forum, I may disagree with people on issues...but there's usually marked respect for the individual.

So another prat that thinks they are the only person the courier delivers to !!!
First off, they have to route up the area they cover in a way that will accomodate the timed deliveries they have such as before 9am, before 10.30am and then before mid-day. they then have to load the van and then deliver. They also have collections to do.
It is not an easy job to do and it is poorly paid. Perhaps the moaners on here should try doing the job which has a minimum 48 hour week for a take home pay of ?220 and over time paid at a flat rate of just over ?6.
At least these guys are working and not scrounging off the state.
