I've an iPhone 4 and it's dogs swingers.. Apart from being a phone and an iPod it's got a full HD screen with HD camera loads of top notch Apps and now it's jailbroke the stuff it can do has just been notched up a gear..

I didn't get a BB as we use them in work and they are shite.. Loads of complaints and 80% of users have handed them back as inadequate

      Went the android route.
Couldn't live with giving Steve Jobs more money.

Op's is bang on the money in terms of the BB tho.
However if your only looking to make calls and send email theyre fairly decent, they've got better battery life thats for sure and blackberry to blackberry is free if you've got their blackberry number or something.

Iphone has bejewelled so you could be sitting in work playing your life away on that thing

I couldn't live without my smartphone nowadays and have become hopelessly dependant on apps to do things for me rather than having to actually think for myself.

If it was between an iphone or a bb, the iphone wins for me every time.

BB's are good for communication like fb, msn, skype, txt - you should get a BB Torch if you're thinking about it.

Iphone's are good if you're one of the cool kids

personally I would go the Android way - so much easier, get a proper ROM and you're sorted.

stay away of windows7 phones though

I have neither an Iphone or Blackberry. But we sell blackberrys a hell of a lot quicker than Iphones.

Don't go for the mass market Blackberrys as they do like to break. I'm talking about the 8520 & 9300. Aim higher up the food chain with the 9700 or 9800 as these are designed more for the business users.

Other than that, the Samsung Galaxy S2 will be released shortly. Voda are taking pre-orders now... Not sure what other networks will be releasing it.

Myself, I'd be having words with the Carphone Warehouse about upgrading to a SIM free Galaxy S2.

But we are talking about personal choices here.

              My experience

The blackberry works well as a phone, unlike the iPhone! The iPhone is great as an iPod!

Same answer as a couple more on here Lainie, Android!
The HTC Desire, or if your handbag is big enough, the Desire HD.
Nearly all your apps are free for Android, and they will overtake Apple apps in no time at all, if they already haven't.
Anything Apple brings out, there is usally an android app the same, or will be within no time at all... And cheaper or free.

And before diehard apple fans coming back at me with 'if you jailbreak it, you can get stuff free' .. Would you want to break your warranty Lainie?

                    iPhones are for tossers
Blackberry's are for people who can't accept that Android is the future.

oh its all so confuzzling. i have android on this netbook but dont know wtf its all about!! ive even googled it and i still dont understand??

im trying not to sound thick here but what does jailbreaking mean? im thinking its similar to "chipping" as it used to be called for games consoles etc ie play hookey games??

i mainly use my mobile for texts and obv calls. dont really use the camera or video.i have 3 ipods already so dont need it for that .

@ chroma you might have beaten me last week at bejewelled but a new week starts today and i will do my bloomin best to beat you this week . mind you im a busy wee bee this week getting ready for my special day next week

I must agree with xant on this one. I have a Htc desire got it at Christmas and I must admit it its a fantastic little phone as xant said the majority of apps are free. The only small problem is the battery life which if you buy a second battery will be fine. In my opinion it isn't worth the extra money for the iphone

mate if you restore the iphone through itunes it resets the phone back to factory settings- no warranty issues here.

lainie ive had a bb and every iphone made- and i must say that in my opinion the iphone is the best by miles. its simply the best multi purpose gadget on the market- as for the apps dont believe what people are saying about andriod apps increasing-it would take them 20 years to bypass apples app store.

So if I try to restore an Iphone 3GS that's been jailbroke with the 06.15.00 baseband change everything will be ok?

                              I think not!

@Lainie. If you only use your phone as a phone, for calls & texts, you don't use the camera & already have 3 Ipods.... Why would you be looking at an Iphone?

A Blackberry is a business phone, always was. Later models have watered this down for the mass market of bewildered Nokia users, lost in this new world.
They are very good for email & Office use, but not so friendly to use.

'Android' is only an operating system. Every phone has to have one, it's just this one has been designed to take on Apple's operating system used on the Iphone.

Ask yourself this..... 'What do I really want... A flash phone that I won't know how to use & will probably pi** me off all the time. Or lower monthly bills & a phone I know how to use?'

The boss just arranged with '3' to lower his bill to ?15 per month (half his current price) with better mins, text's & data... With a 30 day rolling contract until a phone comes out that he want's to upgrade to. He will then be able to upgrade & renegotiate has contract.
