mira sport shower problem

My mira sport shower is 3 years old and has stopped working when i switch it on it turns its self off and only stays on a few seconds the power is staying on ok and the water seems to be ok its just like i have turned the switch on and off i have checked the in line filter and its ok any ideas thanks

i had what seems to be the same prob, same symptoms anyhow this was about 2 yrs ago, so did some research on net all pointed to it being a faulty flow valve i bought one and fitted the part solved the problem.quite easy to fit cost about 15 pounds delivered i think from a firm called shower doctor online. ps same part direct from mira about 50 pounds.hope this helps.(mine is the sports model 8.5kw an older one than yours)....check this......https://a248.e.akamai.net/f/248/9086...2,1,2,1&qlt=80

thanks for your advise i think i will order a new part it looks easy to take apart just a few star screws i will let you know how i get on thanks

yeah, its quite easy.the part i bought needed the small o ring transfering from the old to the new unit this is located on the inlet side of the valve.and on a safety note dont forget to turn off power,i turned off at consumer unit.hope you get it sorted.
