      hi friend daithi
to choose an alarm system, one must first draw a sketch of the house, the area to see how to install it, and what is the best system is needed to my house.
I can help you if you want, but send me the plan of the house

      greetings
      Best regards aissa

Believe me, it's a beautiful house, not a caravan.
with a kitchen in front .........
you choose the system: 18 zones with no son
since you have 17detectors between , doors and windows
and not forgetting the gas detector
                      and smoke detector.
it is a fairly large area, preferably the wireless system is better
                      Best regards aissa

Alarm thieves can get in by removing the bell out side the house.

Bear in mind Daithi, that if you install it yourself you are breaking the law unless you are licenced by the PSA (that insane law brought in by the Mad Mullah MacDowell (May the PDs rest in Peace))

it was a good law in principle, to stop criminals being involved in the security industry, but as far as i remember they never excluded homeowners DIYing so you could be locked up for installing your own alarm(or down to adding a deadbolt to your door) Maybe they fixed it(but i doubt it!)
Maybe you can make sense of it, i cant be @rsed readin it

                              EDIT
                              Found this in a blog

The PSA decided initially to target the intruder alarm sector, because there is an agreed Irish standard for Intruder Alarms (IS EN 50131). It is now a legal requirement that all intruder alarms in Ireland must be installed by PSA licensed companies. DIY alarms are effectively illegal, you can be prosecuted for installing one (no cases brought yet against B&Q for selling kits). Numerous un-licensed installers have, however, been prosecuted by the PSA (they have a very convenient whistle-blower page on their web page that I imagine has been the source of these prosecutions).
