tumble dryer problem

does anyone know about tumble dryers mine is making a humming noise when i turn it on and the drum isnt going round checked the belt and it is still intact..cheers..

it was the capacitor that was away on it fixed it myself....cheers/////////

intreasting - please explain for for reference - how you discovered it - price and location of replacement part?

another apparently common one (i had this !) is a bra wire through back of drum into motor. took by trip out when switched on.
