How do I keep birds away from my herbs which are placed in garden?

            OK, time for a sensible answer!

            Most good garden centres sell a fine net, which is used to keep pidgeons away from stuff being grown on allotments.
            It lets the rain and sun through and works a treat.

                This is the option I went for... With bits of carrier bags tied to the edges of the plot to flap in the wind and scare them. Actually, it worked quite well!
