mowed the lawn tonight... how traumatic was that....?

Frogs leaping for their lives, moths awakened and flying off obviously grumpy...and so many snails.... i actually damaged a couple of snails going over them with the flymo.... one i actually knocked it's shell off.... !! looked ok though.. just seemed a bit sluggish !!!

judging by the amount of different species living in your patch you could call it a wildlife sanctury and not cut it again

My long-term goal is to replace my front and side yards with gravel, bark, and shrubs. I hate yards.

I understand that the kids need the backyard to play in but the other parts? Victorian affectation. Oooh oooh lookitme, I have surplus land I don't need to use for growing food.
