    Boiler kettling

Anyone know how to solve the above. Boiler noisy, got Homecare cover so called them out. They said problem was kettling and gave me a quote for a powerflush at ?700.

How old are your radiators and system? How many have you? They are overly expensive at ?700. You could flush system yourself. You could add a Magna clean filter. This will stop sludge build up as this will be cleaned at annual service.

i had a noisy boiler few months back less than a year old, thought it was going to fall of the garage wall also it had the sound of a kettle boiling.
turned out to be the the condenser pipe on the outside wall had been been put into the ground with the wrong type of material in the soakaway hence there was a build up of water in the pipe the installer simply cut the pipe to allow the water to drain out of the pipe.
it works ok now no vibrating boiler.

this happens when the water inside the boiler is over heated.

              possible causes..
circulation pump not moving the water........by ****ed pump / closed valve / bad design.

thermister fitted inside boiler not working correctly, telling boiler to keep heating..

Air in the system..will normaly remove itself (open vent system)
              Still in the workshop.
