    solar powered lighting

    looking for a really good solar powered security light also a good solar powered garage/hut light

    Whatever light you buy, you will need a pretty big solar panel, maybe 1ft in size if you intend to use the light in the winter.

    I have a few different ones and they are lucky to keep the light going for a few hours in the winter, I need bigger solar panels for them.

    ohh, and you have to have the panel south facing obviously

      Agree with above. Spend the monry on a mains powered one

        Probably best bet, depends on where your facing will it have any shading issues and what you are using it for

        If its sensored and its to pop in shed now and again will probably be ok

        If you want to sit in garden for hours drinking stella then you may be dissapointed especially on days with little sun

        which seems to be everyday

          If it's just to look in your shack a on/off switch and a flashlight battery would do

          if it's to spend hours on DK in the dark mains is the ONLY way to go.
