What else do you have on the circuit? If tumble dryer is off is all ok? What amps on circuit? Putting a new element in twice isn't right either if this is the fault and is drawing to many amps to operate. This will cause trip.

Hi, you need to buy a decent element, I had the same with a cooker element, elements lasts for so long than start shorting out internally when expand with heat, might be of help.

Well for testing purposes, disconnect ONE wire off the element, turn it on, see what happens.

Then repeat experiment by reconnecting that wire, see if it doees it again.

Is it the RCD or circuit breaker?

Is it pheasable theres a load of bum fluff that's got damp and tracking across.

        OFF TOPIC:-

Recently brought a dehudifier to go in my garge, it STUNK of fags, and was MINING, so put on rubber gloves, unscrewed the front cover, then just got the hose pipe, some poundland bike cleaner and a wire brush, washed it, left it 10 mins in the sun, then plugged it in whilst still wet (Nothing about that in DK rules) Works perfect, but still stunk of fags for another 10 mins

        OFF TOPIC:-

Got an temporay outside light, the plug got full of mud, plugged it in BANG instantly RCD went off.

Unscrewed lid of plug, got bucket of water, jigged it around untill the mud was clear, put lid on, plugged in, worked perfect, love you long time.

So don't be fooled by "RCD protected"
