" I made the news today, front page above the fold,
I bought the washing machine, the one with system old "

Original lyrics from Stone Sour, edited by me?.

Seriously, today we've made the history:
bought the LAST OF THE MECHANICAL washing machine in the Earth planet.
In the future, my dear dk sons, there could not be mechanical machine anymore.
There would only be iWash with its pros and cons.

Thank you very much for reporting your experience and suggestions.

Thanks dk family, you all deserves a garment wash, so please drop it in the drum and let the new one spin for us.

News: learning lessons about the "new not a lot mechanic as it seems to be machine" and found a used motor from Germany for the old good days wm.
Hope the motor will help spinning the drum again. Then time to play'n'paint with rustproof.

Very nice the Panjabi MC's washing cyclette. So ladies could have fun/do sports while washing. My idea was to put a 50cc engine.
For the moment enjoy this low res pic from a place out of dk.

Please specify how the photo should be: full front, only door, only panel, me on the top.

The first point of anyone recommending a washing machine would be how many washes do you do a week / per year / how long they've had it without breaking down. Take mine lasted 2.5 years but did 3 washes a day 7 days a week = 2730 washes approx. The same machine in a household that does 3 washes a week would last 17.5 years. So how many washes does your machine do a week?

Nice Meat. There are 5 italian brands that looks very similar to each other. If you have problem contact me so we could put out of order 2 machines at a time.
@DOUG Very inconstant. Could be 3 a day and 0. It's the spinning time that determines the life:
a lot of wear for moving parts. The new one has a short spinning time, 2 speeds and divided in different speed level. Old one got 2 speed and a very long spinning time: up to 15 minutes (but my father turn it off after 5 minutes).
@andy91 ok you have no belt but you have an iWash.

I should've said it's washer dryer so was always spun with every wash and dried at least half so lifetime still the same. Two have grown up and left new washing machine works less hard. When all have gone the same machine will technically last me and missus stated time

                            Used motor arrived yesterday.
Motor Transplant completed. No signs of complication.

Can't test it in the near future because for the moment it's in a building without current water.

How many wires.... Get a digital voltmeter and compare resistance of old motor verses new and write down put in plastic bag inside machine for next time

new motor looks shiney and happy

The connector has 8 wires: 2 for tacho, 2 for rotor, 4 for stator. Apart there's ground wire. 9 in total.
Resistance comparison done with an an_alogue meter: old one has 2x rotor resistance of new one.
And old motor has 1 sector of the rotor damaged: was still spinning with huge smell of heated copper ---> time for a replacement.

Fitted new couples of carbon brushes in the used shiney motor.
Rotor copper consumption is minimal and the epoxy looks in good condition. Mine was really bad.

Silly dk forum an_alogue is a swear becuase it contain an_al. Come on!
