Go to the cooker circuit breaker/fuse on the consumer unit see what its rated at.(in amps) The cooker should have a power rating on it.(small plack stuck to it) in Kilowatts. So for example if it says 3Kw thats 3000 watts (kilo =1000 times) and finally Current equals watts divided by volts. Mains is 220v so 3000 watts divided by 220v equals 13.6 amps so any circuit breaker greater than 16 Amps will be fine.(just to leave a small margin) If its one circuit you need to add the hob and cooker current together

you need 10mm cable the fuse is ok
if you use the 6mm it will work but you will burne out the cable as it will over heat and melt after long use
