I have a stove - not an inset stove.....Bat a 7kw multi fuel stove. This stove is truly the best thing fitted (after broadband for access to DK - MH) as the heat output is truly tremendous. I find that the room does get more dusty - well the wife finds it does.... I fitted this stove myself as I had a class 1 brick chimney which was tested by a HETAS fitter.

I wish I had an inset stove though - as they look absolutely great!!!!Comment

Cheers flyingpig,I wanted a free standing one like that at first but the mrs talked (nagged) me into the inset ones cos she doesn't want a fire place .The wall I want the fire on is the garage wall so the builders opening will be in the garage and the flue wll go up through thesmall bedroom .the car can sit outside bugger it ive been after one of these for ages,I can sit lookin at thefire when the mrs has her s#### on the telly....Comment

Got my fire going tonight and looking forwad to watching LFC in front of it.. Will only get to use it a few more times until it gets too warm to put it on.
Having the stove has dramatically cut down on our heating bills.... We live in a fair sized 1920's semi with a full wrap around extension, and our annual gas bill is around ?700, we buy 2 big bags of well seasoned logs which cost ?80 per bag. The house is always warm.Comment

cheers mate, most of the places that ive looked up so far sell dumpy bags of logs for ?50 to ?100,im going to try and be a good lad and burn only well seasoned stuff like ash,and I can get a fair supply of hardwood offcuts from work as well.By the way ive took Liverpool to win 4 1,but colback to score first,a daft bookies bet I know but ive picked up about ?860 just lately so im on a bit off a run, enjoy the match mate....Got my fire going tonight and looking forwad to watching LFC in front of it..
