    NEST V3 SMART THERMOSTAT

Anyone got one of these installed or a different type?
Are they worth spending about £300 for supply and fit ?

Hi. I have hive installed. It's grate for the winter months as I can turn it on when I'm about to leave work and it's nice and worm when I get home. It also means you can be lazy and turn the heating on or off from your sofa or bed so no need to do a cold run down the stairs to do it. As I have hive I have fitted there lights to my kids rooms what go on at 0700 on school days wake them up better than I can. It's also worth it when you go out as a family and the Mrs ask did we turn the heating off and you just look at your phone and say it is now.

I payed for it as a one off what cost me about £200. The bulbs and plugs are extra I think they are £20-30 each or pack. You can alter the brightness of the bulbs. I have my kids at 50% but I can change it with the app on my phone depending on the time of year.

I'd definitely say it's worth it.
It helps with unused heating, kids getting up for school and turning plugs off so the kids don't start watching TV at silly time in the morning.

The only real benefit I can see is the money saving feature when you're out and the kids or wife turns the heating on you can override and turn it off again
