Stones on Soil..

Reet, heres the issue folks, We have a small front garden at the moment it is just soil as ive dug the plants and stuff out and I keep digging the weeds out, We are moving in Jan and renting this out I want to make the garden low maintanence so I was thinking of thrpiwing some shail and stones in. All I nned to know is can i just pop the shail on the soil of do I have to do some manual labour and dig the ~~~~er out to get rid of the weeds?

spray the grass and weeds with roundup or rambo these are very strong industrial weed killers
here it is eBay.ie: ROUNDUP LIQUID CONCENTRATE WEEDKILLER 280 ML BRAND NEW (item 280569382261 end time 06-Oct-10 17:21:25 BST)
you probably need an egg cup at most as you only have a small area
you will also need this sprayer eBay.ie: 5L WATER GARDEN WEEDS KNAPSACK PRESSURE SPRAYER SPRAY (item 110572661715 end time 11-Oct-10 19:20:25 BST)
when the weeds are dead put this down eBay.ie: 100m x1.5m ROLL WEED CONTROL MEMBRANE FABRIC - LOW POST (item 190449663585 end time 04-Oct-10 20:02:36 BST)
then put the stones on top of it

whatever weed killer you have left keep it as the weeds will still come up
the membrane is only a deterrent but will help a lot try not to tear it on installation

this membrane isnt that expensive its always onsale in woodies etc ya wont need a big roll like ive shown

spray with pistol weedkiller leave for a cpl of weeks,do it when its sunny.i use a 20 ltr sprayer knapsack and use 350 ml of pistol.when the weeds are dead rake or use a strimmer to get rid of them.try and buy heavy duty membraine u will get it in ur local garden centre.cover the area and pin down the membraine,cover with chips and put down ronstar or something simmilar stops any weeds germanating,failing that contact me ill come and do it for you for small price .cheers

not for sale mate just bought a motor on flebay for it
hope to have it the weekend so il have something to do

and some coont tried to rob it already chased him away and he left the gate open
think it was stig cause you pointed out that there was a dish there and he was ginger
