Well i just done mine online and itsa pain in the hole. You would think when you add the kids ages ( i have 3 under 4) that it would disregard most of the questions that wont apply. But no.

As someone who has served in the Forces and have lost a lot of close friends to enemy action I support anyone that tortures the enemy if it saves one life. Sadly the West is renowned for toeing the line when Human rights are involved and the enemy who don't follow the Geneva Convention know it and look on us as weak because of it. Trust me if the enemy thought we were going to pull their teeth out with pliers or worse the majority wouldn't have the balls to fight us.
As for being on a data base the worst anyone can do is send me junk mail which will go straight in the bin. They get more worthwhile info from me every time I use my credit card and it's use is probably shared with more departments than my census form.Comment

accoring to wikipedia the USA census bureau assisted the US government in rounding up Japanese people in the USA during WW2, 62% of whom were US citizens. these people were placed in internment camps. that doesnt sound a very harmless use of the information.
what if things escalate in the middle east and there is all out war between east and west. will the UK gov do the same with all Muslims citizens living in the UK? maybe they can also send them outside the country to be interogated by Lockheed Martin and CACI. two birds with one stone.Comment

Why would the government bring religion into it and why would they only target the Muslims?
I know a few British guys that have converted to Islam as they found peace in the religion, not because they fancied being a terrorist.
