    Alternative Vote referendum

This afternoon I watched a political debate about the upcoming referendum for the Alternative Vote system, which will take place on the 5th May,

I am still uncertain which way I will vote, I was always in favour of changing the current voting system, until we had this hung parliament, leading to the coalition,

There doesn't seem to be any accountability by either party for throwing there manifesto's out of the window, each blaming the other party for changing there policies, and I am now wondering if this would be the norm, where manifesto's wont mean a thing,

But on the other hand, I don't think it's acceptable that a politician can win an election with less than 30% of the vote

This is the current standing of all the major parties, and what there campaigning for.

    Conservatives - NO
    Labour - YES
    Liberal Democrats - YES
    Scottish National Party - YES
    Plaid Cymru - YES
ALL NORTHERN IRELAND PARTIES - YES
    UK Independence Party - YES
    The Green Party - YES
    British National Party - NO

Have you made your mind up yet?

BBC News - Q&A: Alternative vote referendum

Quite a useful Q&A for those who dont fully understand the AV system

I for one will vote a YES, although it would not be my preferred voting system, it is by far better than the one we have

Problem is that is to many people think like you then the radicals have a chance of getting in.

BTW, I remember when I was younger that in one election the ward I was in was won by 7 votes, so every vote does count.
