BRITAIN'S thickest burglar has been jailed for six years - after leaving his passport, mobile and keys at a raid.
Dozy Kenneth Morgan's abandoned backpack also contained his mugshot on a prison ID card, his birth certificate and a tenancy agreement with his signature.
Morgan, 48, was caught red-handed by the victim who returned home at 11.45am.
The career crook fled through a kitchen window but left his possessions behind in Acton, West London.
An investigation by giggling police lasted seconds.
When Morgan was arrested, he claimed the backpack was stolen and planted at the scene by another burglar.
Judge Simon Oliver called the defence "preposterous" at London's Isleworth Crown Court last week.
A jury took an hour to convict him before it emerged he had 23 burglary convictions dating back 25 years. A source said: "He has got to be the UK's dumbest crook."
Morgan, of West London, had been out of jail for just three weeks before the burglary.
