Wrong to exclude Blair and Brown from royal wedding

It was wrong to exclude Blair and Brown from royal wedding guest list
THE decision to deny Tony Blair and Gordon Brown invites to the royal wedding is a disrespectful snub that is as divisive as it is ill-judged (?Blair and Brown fail to make the royal wedding guest list.
Tony Blair?s 10 years as prime minister made for a stronger, more prosperous and fairer Britain, and coincided with a particularly difficult and challenging time in world affairs. That he enjoyed consistently higher levels of public support than the current Downing Street incumbent?s leads one to believe the decision to exclude him from the wedding is as much down to political jealousy as royal protocol. By contrast, it seems bizarre that John Major should receive an invitation, as one of the weakest prime ministers in living memory who cemented the North-South divide.

No matter how you might feel about them personally, it was just plain WRONG not to have invited two living ex-Prime Ministers, especially as Major and Thatcher got invites.(Maggie is too frail to attend.)

The reasons given for not inviting them have been described as being "As weak as American Beer".

The British Monarchy have always tried to be politically neutral in public, and this is regarded as being a monumental error which may come back to haunt William in later life.

Been reading a bit more about this, and it does look as if this was Cameron's doing (as suggested in super jumbe's post.)

          What a petty-minded childish to$$pot!

                    why?

its their wedding it should be up to them they might not like or get on with either who knows

what i do know is it should be up to the wedding party to invite who they see fit what gives anyone else the right to say who they should be inviting or not

Because this is a Royal Wedding. The rules are totally different.

Anyone who thinks the entire congregation in the Abbey are personal friends of the couple is being a tad naive.

I personally think it's a wate of taxpayers money and a load of shite but they may have dropped a bollock by snubbing ex Labour pm's and inviting ex Tory pm's. TBH they should have just ~~~~ed off to Gretna Green by themselves and the money wasted on this circus could have been spent saving peoples jobs.

                          THE TRUTH
                          The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.
