IMF chief charged with attempted rape

The head of the IMF, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, has been charged with attempted rape in New York.

The Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Dominique Strauss Kahn, has been charged with attempted rape in New York.
Prosecutors also charged him with committing a criminal sexual act and with unlawful imprisonment.
His lawyer has said Mr Strauss-Kahn will plead not guilty to the charges.
The investigation began whena maid at the Sofitel New York hotel in Manhattan alleged she was assaulted.
The maid claimed the incident occurred when the IMF chief got out of his shower naked.
Mr Strauss-Kahn, a well-known figure on the French political scene popularly known by his initials DSK, has not officially thrown his hat into the ring to challenge center-right President Nicolas Sarkozy in next year's presidential race.
But he had been widely expected to stand, and polls released before news of his arrest broke had put him narrowly ahead of the pack, if he ran, with 26% of the vote.
Mr Strauss-Kahn had been due to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin today to discuss an aid package for debt-laden Greece.
He was then due to attend a meeting of EU finance ministers on Monday and Tuesday in Brussels.

Things do not add up here:

1) She reported the incident immediately she left the room then why did the police wait until he had boarded a plane before they arrested him ? Reception must have known exactly who he was from his room number.

2) The hotel in question will have a policy on members of staff (whether male or female) on entering bedrooms while the SOLE occupant is still in residence.

3) She was ignorant as to who was in the room... however, I am sure her Head Of Department at some point managed to gather her staff and enlighten them of the VIPs staying in the hotel and which rooms they would be occupying.
She may not have known his name but I can guarantee she would know he was a VIP.

My opinion this was what happened, In the news they reviled that Mr Strauss-Kahn left his mobile phone in the hotel in hurry, that indicated that the cleaner took the telephone and when she was the only culprit in the room he asked her to return the phone when she might have denied when some confrontation may have taken place and the only way she had to come up with the rape story.

Now I don't know about any of you, but I always get out of the shower naked.
I've asked a few friends, family, customers....strangers in the street... They all say the same thing.

So what was she expecting to see when he was getting out of the shower? Banana man swimming trunks maybe???

My lack of evidence based, conspiratorial take on it (for what its worth) Here we we have a media tagged 'Socialist' who is head of an organisation who in their own words
(The International Monetary Fund (IMF)) is an organization of 187 countries, working to foster global monetary cooperation, secure financial stability, facilitate international trade, promote high employment and sustainable economic growth, and reduce poverty around the world.

Now the political right across the western world are attempting to facilitate the most right wing, corporate led free market ideology ever across the planet which appears to go against many of the principals of the IMF. To my mind they would not want a socialist heading up an organisation such as the IMF. I find it strange both at the timing of the attempted rape charge and how quickly he tendered his resignation.
Now I might be wrong and he does have a case to answer but I would not be surprised if-
1) The charge is found not guilty (if it goes as far as court) or
2) The charge is completely dropped after he tendered said resignation.

It?s a funny way to make some 1 suffer if that?s the way the world order works mate, look the bottom line is I have personally went to very expenses hotels in my life and the cleaners comes in pares for securities reason only this expensive hotel can not effort cleaners in pares, this hotel should be named and shame.

This guy raped every tax payer in the world by taking their money and bailing out country's like Greece that spent their money like a drunken sailor. I hate the word Bail out since none deserve it and if you bail out one then everyone else uses it as a back up. About the comment about coming out of the shower naked of course everyone does but when you come out of the bathroom you usually have something on.
