    Man United a mile ahead of Liverpool

    Overtaken ... motorway sign shows number of title wins


    CHEEKY Manchester United fans have taunted rivals Liverpool with photos of this motorway sign - after overtaking them for league title wins.

    Champions ... Premier League

    The mileage board on the southbound M6 near Junction 24 says Liverpool 18, Manchester 19 - the number of times each team has been crowned champions in the top flight.

    Sir Alex Ferguson's side won the Premier League title last weekend.

    United fans have also mounted an internet campaign to send Paul Hardcastle's 1985 hit 19 to No1 in the charts.
