This one is simple to understand, he's ex-military. But from a time when they were treated hard, not like todays recruits that go crying off to the press when someone shouts at them.
Shouting at him brought him back to his experiences in the military & understood, when shouted at...behave.

I caught most of this last night, my impression was that the ringleaders had more power than those in charge...& they were bullies, plain & simple bullies.

I know a few people who are exceptionally hard & enjoy inflicting pain on people. But I know which way they would go with this. The tattoo'd thug would be in hospital for a very long time, his life would be changed forever.

It was uncomfortable viewing and I felt sorry for the families when they showed them the footage. That nobrot with the tattoos and the other one in the snide Liam Gallagher clothes both need a good shitkicking.

Why can't they have mandatory cctv in places like these?

Against human rights or some shite.
Either that or the managment are too tight fisted to install the shit.
I asked a few times cause the "escapees" always get bunked down in the room nearest the fire escape...
We had a woman who would wind up wandering the grounds every night getting her feet tore up to shit as she wandered with a single slipper in hand

Got to the point i used to creep into her room after she was asleep and tie off a buzzer to her wrist, she got up and the jack plug would yank and the buzzers would sound.

Pretty sure that was illegal and classed as a form of restraint, but there's nothing worse than seeing feet with broken glass in em

The fire doors had local alarms for some reason, so the corridor would sound like ZE GERMANZ where invading, but the sound didn't carry to the rest of the house through the fireproof doors. Stupid setup!
We;d make the rounds and then hear it, and we only made rounds every 15 mins so by that point she was well off the map :/

Strangely enough the oldest person ive ever met and cared for (104years old!) was the most sane and sweet as!
She wasnt on any mental meds. just blood thiners and the like.
Used to get her ready for bed, she'd tell me stories about dancing in new york before the war or about her fiance going off to the war and never coming back, she never moved on to loving another man! died a virgin, how many people today could be that committed to anything?
Every time i was leaving her room she'd ask me to turn of the gas! thinking the electric lights where still old mantles

Nother guy everyone thought was completely mental, like meat head stage psychosis used to ramble on about flying beds. No one got it!
Used to be an ex engineer with Denny's and they made a prototype helicopter that looked like a bed, with four propellers, called the flying bedstead by the guys who worked on it, he was one of them. Was completely sane and lucid, just had no one to talk to about it cause they all thought he was off his rocker :-D

Man, i miss the conversations with people that everyone else though was nuts and consigned them to gods waiting room with me.
The job had its bad sides, cleaning shitty arses isnt much fun, but you get used to it quickly enough, you then get to see the great parts of the job once your over the mental hurdle of being elbow deep in the brown stuff

Hopefully Dave Courtney or the like saw the show and organises a nice welcoming committee at HMP Bristol for the scumbags.
Can't believe how annoyed I still am, pure waste of oxygen, animals the lot of them.

Just watched this programme, there should be jail terms handed down to the staff, to management, all the way up to the CQC. Hope it comes back to haunt the cnuts.

just watched it and im f90ckin raging. When are our useless governments going to realise that when they reduce people to profit for private sector there is alway going to be more room for abuse.
I hope the protagonists have a nice time from their community every time they leave their house from now on, and an especially nice time in prison, i hear they like you guys in there.
Wont be so tuff then Wayne, will you?

This should have been picked up by POVA (protection of vulnerable adults), but of course they are massively underfunded to do random checks, as is the CQC,
as for CCTV, you cannot use them indoors due to the confidentiality act, and the people they are watching don't have the mental capacity to allow them,
the staff who where dragging service users about will get prison, I'm sure about that, and all of them will end up on the POVA register, meaning they will never be allowed to work in any kind of caring job again.
I just hope the owners of the home will get there licence took off them, and also prosecuted.
