Conviction for downloading music

I would not think that court is going to grant an order for music sharing unless there has been attempts to resolve the issue directly with the user first.

When the information was passed to the police, it became a criminal investigation. The police or courts do not try to "resolve the issue first" with persons being investigated for criminal offences. If she had even the slightest inclination that she was the subject of investigation, she would have immediatley deleted the offending material. I imagine she was quite surprised when the police knocked on her door.

she was dj'ing in pubs and clubs using downloading material and therfore profiting fom infringing copyrights.
