    Britain?s cheapest house for ?10,000

For ?10,000 you can buy a Ford Ka hatchback, a mid-range Rolex watch and, so it seems nowadays, a new house.

A property in Burnley sold for ?10,000 this week, surely making it one of the cheapest houses in Britain.

We have another one in Burnley that's also under offer for ?10,000. One was completed earlier this month that was only ?13,500. We're getting one or two now at that sort of price level.

If the area is due for demolishing & a new estate being built it will make sense.

Buy for ?10,000 & hold out until the developers offer ?20,000

Having lived in Burnley all my life I can tell you that 10k is expensive, you can buy those houses for under 5k if you look about.

Surely it would make financial sense obviously compulsory purchase pending to buy the the property.. spend 10k or so doing it up and rent it out for 300pcm.. ?? the return on properties like this could be a gold mine..

But looking at that particular property it seems to have some subsidence..

And if its got a compulsory purchase order attached to it.. then id sell it at 10k.. and get shut,.. nobody is building atm.. It's like up here.. theyve knocked down a full estate with the intentions to rebuild houses.. but it has been scrapped by the goverment.. thus council houses being over applied for,...

10k look at the state of it i bet it needs major work done to it, also it is shuttered up a good sign of a not so good area.

10K.....But more money than its worth.

also the two attached properties are also in a very bad state. try doing it up then finding someone wanting to stay in it.
