Why Isn't This In The News?

The amount of radioactive caesium that has leaked from the ~~~ushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant is roughly 168 times that released by the atomic bomb the US dropped on Hiroshima in 1945, according to Japan's nuclear agency.

The Nuclear and Industrial Safety Agency said the privately owned and operated plant has released 15,000 tera-becquerels of caesium-137, which lingers for decades and could cause cancer.

That compares with 89 tera-becquerels released by the US "Little Boy" uranium bomb.

              caesium 137

i worked with caesium 137 for many years in isotope form, i think it has a half life of 30 years.plenty of time left for this situation to be a potential threat.

i spent a week in a town called seascale, about a mile from the Sellafield plant. on the train into whitehaven a couple of times, i was surrounded by staff going to and from the plant.
i noticed no ready-brek men. nor did i espy any 3-eyed fish in the sea.
although they might have been hiding. after all, everyone knows that mutants are nocturnal.

not really, johnner. 3-eyed fish can see your net coming a mile away. they also have super-fish strength and super-fish intelligence.
