Lottery winner goes back to stacking shelves

A Lottery winner who won a ?2.49million jackpot has returned to work stacking shelves at Asda.

Nicky Cusack, 46, was battling cancer when she claimed her prize back in 2009 and says it was the thought of returning to work that kept her going.

After successfully finishing her chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment, she checked back in to Asda Walmart in Swindon, earning ?6.30 an hour ? just above the minimum wage.

Anyone winning so much should feel guilty by denying a job to someone who needs the money far more than her, there's two and half million people now unemployed.

How sad that she can't find a better way of enjoying life, with all that money as well????.

Will any dk members go to work after wining large amount of money?

People like this make me sick.

You're right about loads of people looking for jobs, and she's hogging one when she doesn't need to be.Is she lonely or something ?Needs to go to Asda just to talk to people ?

Give me the money, and I'll put it to good use for you !!

One and half millions unemployed and you are a lottery winner?????

Why want she open a grocery shop that?s what?s she is good at and employee another five unemployed people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That will keep her active and double her winnings instead of freezing her winning being no user to her or anyone.

Why shouldn't she carry on working if she wants to?

How much of a lottery win would enable you to leave work?

With redundancies just past in my work It got me thinking, for my age and time left to work was 30 years, given me just under 1 million earnings on current salary.

So realistically you would need about ?1'500'000 winnings to have a comfy life and not work but you would have to be sensible and probably stuff with the interest and take say a annual salary.

As much as say a 1.5mil win would sound its not really that much as we think it really is over the course over a working life time.
