The thing that seems wrong to me is that it's;-
a) In a cage & b) With an adult audience drinking alcohol etc.

BBC has just had a cage fighter on saying the same.. He disagreed with it. This was an adult bill, with all the things you expect at an adult bill. Canned up fella's shouting at 8 year old lads in a cage just seems a wee bit 3rd world to me..

Really bad if you ask me adults encouraging kids as young as 8yrs to wrestle in a environment like that,I seen it on the news I know UFC,MMA etc is a sport but this was a pre event to this in a cage it was pathetic!!! And should not happen

i think this is a good idea and more kids should do it,the kids that do these sports are very disciplined and trained rite,as for being in a adult environment this happens in holiday parks all over the place where kids r with adults on the lash all night,id rather watch them in a cage than reading about them stabbing each other.

Kids at the club I train at do this week in week out. It's bread and butter ju-jitsu. Yet it's not frowned upon when the kids are wearing Gis and grappling on mats.

Yes mate that's my point. The fact that they were on an adult bill in a cage. Not the particular combat/martial art/fighting.
