Man sues council over kerb tumble that left him with three toes amputated

A MAN who had part of his foot amputated after tripping on a wonky paving stone is suing his council for ?50,000.

Daryl Phillimore, 43, who fell while walking his dog two years ago, claims he had warned the authority about loose slabs near his home. Daryl said: ?I had complained two or three times that kerb stones and edging stones were broken and a hazard to pedestrians. One day I tripped over one. I was told I had sprained my ankle.

?But the next day I was in agony and I went back to hospital. I came out five weeks later minus three toes and a quarter of my right foot. It had become infected and the doctors said it had to be amputated. Now I can?t work properly. It is only fair the council compensates me.?

Getting money from council is attemting to get blood out of a stone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Good luck mate??..

You'd better believe it, I'd say it's nigh on impossible.

He should have got DICK HEAD of the year award and told to ~~~~~ OFF, If i was the judge I would have asked him why he didnt walk on the other side of the road or go another route if he knew the path was dangerous

              1. He maybe walking in his sleep
              2. He may have bad memories and forgot about it
              3. He may have been on experimental walk

                1. He maybe walking in his sleep

Lock the front door when getting in, or wire the door to the mains so it wakes you when trying to open it if still asleep

                2. He may have bad memories and forgot about it

he wouldn't have sued the council, cause he would have thought, that path wasnt that bad yesterday

                3. He may have been on experimental walk

experimental walk? with what a yo yo, or dressed in a clown's outfit, with big floppy boots, juggling while riding a unicycle with billy smarts circus tune playing on his Ipod !!

What a numpty, deserves all that he got... if i was the judge "**** off mate, got better things to do" and thats lightly.. then id proceed to watch jeremy kyle for an hour then send everyone else that day down for 10 years in anger at mr jeremy himself ...
