    Contact Local MP for referendum..

    Howdo,

As some may know i'm gagging to vote no to the EU.. Signed pettition the other month.. and now a debate in parliment has to be debated before christmas..

I've contacted my local member of parliment. (granted im pissing in the wind (Michael Meacher),. but if they realise people arent happy then they may think twice..

You can contact you local mp by visiting WriteToThem - Email or fax your Councillor, MP, MEP, MSP or Welsh, NI, London Assembly Member for free

Heres a copy of my letter just this minute sent..

    Dear Michael Meacher,

    RE: EU Referendum

I am writing to you regarding the fantastic news reported in yesterdays Daily Mail that thanks to the likes of UKIP and The EU Referendum Campaign the EU referendum petition has reached the magic 100,000 signature mark meaning that parliament will now be forced to discuss the situation prior to Christmas.

Later reports and television news saw a disappointing response to this news from Mr. Cameron who is quoted as follows:
?It's not our view that there should be an in/out referendum. I don't want Britain to leave the EU. I think it's the wrong answer for Britain. What most people want in this country is not actually to leave the EU, but to reform the EU and make sure that the balance of powers between a country like Britain and Europe is better?
In 2009 at the launch of giveusareferendum.com Mr. Cameron accused his predecessor of hypocrisy by not giving the British people the chance to vote on its future within the EU. If Mr. Brown is a hypocrite please tell me what the quotation below makes Mr. Cameron?

I am writing to you to state that i do not wish to be considered members of Mr. Cameron?s ?most people in this country? We are individual persons with individual opinions and we wish to state formally, and for the record, that we do want a Yes/No referendum on Britain?s future membership of the EU. I do wish for Britain to leave the EU and as our member of parliament i am requesting that you ensure our views are expressed during the debate in parliament.

    Yours sincerely,
    Thank you for reading

David Cameron has moved the EU referendum debate forward to Monday to ensure minimum time for the public to lobby their MPs!

          One word.

got to agree with Kalipo here the agenda to bring it sooner is deffo a ploy to stop any momentum for a petition

BBC News - Cameron rejects EU referendum call ahead of MPs debate have a look
              also check Cameron's quote ......

When we joined the EU, I believed we joined for good.

UK Govt can not make there mind up, currently we have one foot in the EU, and one foot outside it.

We are not willing to adoption of the single currency (Euro)

We need to take a decision as to where our future as a nation lies.
This decision must be taken by the people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am lost to make decisions on this issue????

What makes all think that this time this petition will make any change???????

Having been 100% against anyone outside of this Nation having any say in our matters I took a step back and looked at it with an open mind and have came to a conclusion. If we let our Politicians run our matters we get an undemocratic bunch of self serving ****@rs. If we let anyone outside our Nation run our matters we get an undemocratic bunch of self serving ****@rs with foreign languages. It's just one big smoke screen and everyone is falling for it.

What we need is paid civil servants running our countries and making the descisions not Politicians who know fnuk all about the job. If they perform poorly sack them. Don't just move them from Health Minister to Defence Secretary the next week etc.

Hi, im open to discussion but dont like being preached too by ministers who lie to people not in the know of the situation..

The most told lie is that if we leave we wont be able to trade.. well sorry mate.. but we buy more from them than they do us.. do these ministers really think.. BMW, or Fiat are going to turn around and say "sorry pal, you chose to leave the EU so we aint selling you our cars" .. a simple trade agreement is all that is needed.. you know like the one we got in the 70's.. we can be friends.. i have no problem.. but stop interfering..

I see the main three parties have ordered their MP's to vote against any referendum - pretty much as expected.

I think it would be a wise move to ask for a referendum ...

at the very least would be to see if we have any say or show them we have a say in who what and when they want to sell out our sovereignty

just maybe to see if we have a voice in all this

a last sort of attempt to see the transparency of the political process before Brussels takes full control of when we eat sleep and sh*t

maybe not though ...just a question i ponder

Alex salmond is starting his push for a referendum.. this seems to tie in with what the UK is doing atm..

If we - Great Britain - leave the European Union, then it will destroy the SNP's chances of having a separate Scotland: after the UK leaves the EU, everyone will know why we did so as the facts will be - oddly, but it's how things work - brought to light in everyone's eyes after we leave; and if Scotland wins independence, Salmond would want to rejoin the EU and take on the Euro (he said he wants to). The Scottish people would know the reasons Westminster left the EU and thus not want Scotland to be part of it.

SNP leader and Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond has opened his party's conference, urging Scots to be part of the "independence generation".

EU referendum: A vote on Europe...and David Cameron | Mail Online

This could ruin his chances hopefully.. what theyre saying is if he says no.. his back benchers will revolt.. if he doesnt allow his whips to vote.. they will revolt.. vote of no confidence..

Either way i feel a referendum oh dear..
