    RIP Jimmy Saville

Veteran broadcaster and charity campaigner Sir Jimmy Savile has died at his home in Leeds, according to Sky sources.

He would have celebrated his 85th birthday on Monday.
Police were called to his home at 1210 on Saturday, where they discovered his body.
His death is not being treated as suspicious.
Born in Leeds in 1926, the youngest of seven children, Savile will perhaps be best remembered for the wildly successful 70s TV series 'Jim'll Fix It'.
Thousands upon thousands of children would write into the show in the hope of having their wishes granted.
He was widely regarded as Britain's first ever celebrity DJ, fronting the original series of Top of the Pops. He was invited back to present the final show in 2006.

                  RIP
I will have fond memories of him on TV as a child, as im sure many other do.

Maybe its time to bring back the series with another Jimmy and bring some happiness into childrens lives once again?

He raised 40milion running over 200 marathons over the years for various charities mainly Stoke Mandervile Hospital.

A great man that will be sadly missed.

All ways thought he lived in some where called 'Crowthorne' Berkshire - but that was a unconfirmed rumor.

The late Alan 'Fluff' Freeman was always my favorite with Jimmy in second place. May they Rest In Peace.

R.I.P sir jimmy- a unique man and a gentleman. I spoke with him once at the great scottish run a few years back and he was a real gem. I remember louis theroux done a programme about him a few years back, what an enigma he was.
Loved by the public his jim will fix it for you tv show was compulsary viewing for close on 20 years and was a tv ratings winner at the time. Its estimated that he helped to raise close to 40 million pounds for good causes throughout his lifetime. He will be sadly missed.
