Grossman sauce in botulism warning

The Food Standards Agency has advised the public not to consume jars of a Loyd Grossman sauce which may pose a risk of botulism poisoning.

The agency said a batch of the brand's Korma sauce had been made the subject of a full recall and was being removed from shop shelves.

In a statement confirming that two members of the same family had been hospitalised in Scotland, the FSA said only one jar from the batch was known to have been contaminated with the bacteria which causes botulism.




I reckon ive got 2 jars in my cupboard.....i'll be taking them back tomorrow methinks.

too many ingredients to find,too much time to prepare,nor enough room in my spice rack,so i will have to stick to the bottled botulism and run the risk.

Everyone wants convenience these days cause everyone is always in a hurry and got no time, that's why there is so much processed food available and I'm sure with all the shite they put in it none of it can be any good for us

Funny that - when you live on your own - no intrest after work except DK - you live on a microwave - and have some awesome farts - to share at work

To make the base for a sauce takes minutes, and the cooking time is the same as this jarred rubbish. I used to be the same, cook from jars, but now I cant believe why I did.
Food is tastier, and much healthier and can be frozen for lunch at work!!

there has been a third reported case,it appears to be children who have gotten ill,shame and i hope they all recover.edinburgh seems to be where the cases are reported.
