Not content with ripping off public sector workers the government has now taken over Post Office pension funds. Post office workers can soon join those in the public sector (if they already haven't) at having their pensions pronounced a burden on the taxpayer, after the government spend the ?28 billion assets.

"That will give the government a temporary ?28bn windfall from becoming the owner of the scheme's assets.

Meanwhile, the scheme members will now have their promised pensions guaranteed by the government." <<--- heard that one before
