A think some people are being a bit cruel in this thread!
Yes the McCann's were stupid in leaving the kids unsupervised but a think they know that, they lost there little daughter as a result and they will need to live with that for the rest of their lives and that's something i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.
A don't think any parents could go on telly pleading for help and maintain a aggressive fund raising campaign if they had anything to do with whats happened to Madeleine.

A think parents in general are too protective of their kids these days.
The chances of anything happening are remote and lets face it, we take risks everyday.
I'm 40 and a know when a was younger life for a kid had much more freedom, ma parents never had a clue where a was from age 7 upwards..
Everyday you send your kids to school there's a risk something could happen, anytime you have lost sight of them when they were in the garden 5min ago something could happen, anytime they have gave you the slip in the supermarket something could happen..
Am not trying to terrify any of you Mum and Dads out there but kids are a risk accessors nightmare, if we spent all day worrying about them then we would never leave the house..

There is a good reason the police have launched an updated photo of Madeleine and if you look at the facts at what happened that night and how the resulting investigation was performed then it makes sense she may still be alive..
A find it scary that some people actually think that the McCann's are covering up some accident that would require disposing of her body which would be almost impossible as would facing the press all the time never mind carrying out a campaign to find her .
The McCann's have paid the ultimate price for being careless and a feel nothing but sorry for them as each day must be a living hell..

It must be great to be a perfect parent but a haven't met one yet..

I'm a perfect parent... I don't have any kids yet

So much in this case is being twisted by the parents and their multi-million pound campaign. For example, it is amazingly rich of them to say the police trampled all over the crime scene. In fact they and some "friends" from the "Tapas 7" did first. Frankly their whole story stinks to high heaven and is fuller of holes than a sieve. That suggests guilt.

So if that was real (not saying it isn't) - then the photographer would have done a mighty close up of her eye with the funky bit.

Also a currant newspaper in the photo.

Goncalo Amaral? He's the sort of bumbling policeman you usually find in old 'B' movies. He was sacked from the case after British complaints about the crass incompetence of his investigation.(and his habit of taking boozy three hour lunchbreaks during it)

He was subsequently prosecuted and convicted for corruption in another missing child case.

Goncalo Amaral,,,, you must be kidding mate..
Does it not strike you a bit strange why a broke 3rd rate cop is all of a sudden started posting video's and making comments in all the wrong places, a find that a lot more suspicious than anything the McCann's done.

Like all high profile cases there will always be he said she said crap, most of these people would fall to pieces under questioning in a proper court of law.
As for your comment on the McCann's twisting the case with their "multi million pound campaign",, a think they would gladly give every penny back for Madeleine's safe return.
Its crucial that they maintain that campaign to keep this tragic event public, if it was left to the Portuguese police am sure they would have wanted to forget about it pretty damn quick.
That doesn't strike me as parents with something to hide, if they had something to hide they would pocket the money and keep quiet, all they want to know is what happened to their daughter..
A don't have kids but i have nieces and nephews and am the uncle that spoils them rotten, if God forbid anything like this happened to them and i had the budget the McCann's have, a can assure you a would do the same.

The only thing the McCann's are guilty of is gross stupidity and no jail sentence would match the living hell they are serving just now...

I watched the video it proves nothing. The behaviour of the dogs suggest death and blood in the apartment but that does not mean it was madelines death. Maybe a lie detector test would set Kate and gerrys mind at rest I think they should do it.

                          Regarding the sniffer dogs:

                          1. they were trained by expert dog-handler Martin Grime and are internationally famed for being able to detect the presence of a corpse (Eddie) or blood (Keela)
                          2. Grime said that Eddie had never ever given a ?false alert? in 200 previous outings
                          3. Eddie alerts only to human cadaverine - the scent of a human corpse. This is usually only produced in a corpse when the body has been dead for over 2 hours
                          4. Eddie alerted to the scent of a corpse in the following places: the living room, the McCanns? bedroom, the veranda and the garden of their holiday apartment, on two of Dr Kate McCann?s clothes, on a T-shirt belonging to Madeleine or brother Sean, and on the pink soft toy, ?Cuddle Cat? (despite the fact that Dr Kate McCann had already washed Cuddle Cat at least once)
                          5. Eddie also detected the smell of death in the McCanns? hired Renault Scenic car
                          6. Keela found blood at some of the same locations
                          7. Eddie and Keela were taken to many other apartments and cars in Praia da Luz, but did not alert anywhere else
                          8. checks were made by the Portuguese police as to whether anyone else had died in the McCanns? apartment or in their car. No-one had
                          9. a neighbour made a witness statement saying that for weeks she saw the McCanns? hired car with its boot open all night long.

So unless Fred West had hired it at some point, who else's corpse did the dogs pick up on?

Go back to the 'cuddle cat' toy for a moment.
This was Madeline's favourite toy that was apparently taken from her when she was asleep and placed high on a ledge out of reach.
The 'abductor' could have left valuable forensic traces on the toy.
So why did Dr Kate McCann decide to thoroughly wash it?
Do you not find that strange?
And even though she did that, the sniffer dog STILL detected the smell of death on it. The smell of death remains on items long after they have been thoroughly cleaned.
So no, I don't believe the dog got anything wrong.
