last sunday was the 25th anniversary of my dad dying of cancer at the age of 56. at the time i was 21 so thought he had had a good innings. obv now im older that opinion has changed. however we seem no further forward in finding a cure for this awful disease. just shows you money cant buy you good health.

The funeral of Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb has been held in his home town in Oxfordshire.
Hundreds of fans lined the streets of Thame earlier as a lone bagpiper led a procession through the town.
Gibb's body was carried in a horse-drawn carriage, followed by two Irish wolfhounds and guests, including his brother Barry and broadcaster Paul Gambaccini.
