Jeremy Clarkson has never been known to hold his tongue, but now he has insulted everyone in Britain branding the whole country 'complete and utter b*stards.'

Clarkson went on to say that Brtis invented torture and slavery and sent the White Russians to be slaughtered by Stalin.
"Outwardly, we hated communist Russia; inwardly, it's what 95 per cent of the country wants," he said.

Personally I think he's funny.

You have to remember that 99% of the rants he spouts out are designed to be offensive to some group... in the same way a stand up comedian insults people.

But if you read the story you might just take his side. Here's an important part that SJ didn't post....

Most of us on DK are animal lovers. How would you feel if you posted the sad loss of your dog, only to be bombarded with this type of response.
The only difference is that he's in the public eye, so his rant made the news.

the guy lost his pet which he cared for deeply and what he said does have some resonance with a lot of people.

like canker said,if you read the full statement and not just the highlights (for want of a better word) it was just his way of displaying disgust at those who find comedy in death and those it touches.

exactly, the fact alone that he writes for the sun, excludes him of any sympathy,
I only heard of the Sun article from a friend.
