I'd be screwed if my system came into force. I drive a 2.5 V6 auto, but only pay ?215 per year tax as reg before 2001.

depends how far you drive really if you dont do many miles you may pay less still but yes if you do lots then you would feel it

but would you notice the few extra pennies on a litre every week rather than a lump sum

there will be winners and losers buts its ultimately fair as you said the people who use the roads most pay the most cash
