Aiding and abetting the criminal act of under age sex. And people condone this? I presume you have your Sir Jimmy Savile fancy dress costumes booked for the festive season ahead.
Girls of 13 given birth control jab at school without parents? knowledge

The reality is that girls under the legal age do have sex just the same as guys do too.
As a taxi driver I can tell you there is a certain high school in a certain run down area of Glasgow.
In this school they have a cr?che and underage pregnant girls from all over Glasgow are brought in here in the morning and taken home again in fleets of taxis every day at great expense. When the baby is born it comes to school too. can't tell you how scunnered it makes you feel to see a 13 year old with a baby. I'm not advocating what's going in with the contraceptive jabs but if it stops this kind of thing then surely it can only be for the greater good.

Canker you are talking a lot of sense there. But that doesn't stop girls from having sex, does it.
These jabs are not forced on pupils, they are offered on an open door policy.
They could walk into tesco & buy condoms if they wanted to. Does that have to be reported to their parents? No.
A lot of kids don't have good relationships with their parents/parent. This scheme gives them a chance to make their own decisions about their future, without the arguments.
Did you tell your parents when you became sexually active? I didn't.

so because I and others are in favour of stopping another teenage pregnancy it makes us all pedophiles,
are you up so early because you had homework to finish before school, you need to grow up and see the bigger picture,
what's worse, a 13 year old on the pill, or, a 13 year old who's pregnant.
This is just more Daily Mail sensationalism.

i don't think it's aiding and abetting anyone, if a 13year old girl thinks she's mature enough to have sex then sure she's also mature enough to take contraception.
i would imagine that the girls that are getting contraception at school are also getting sound advice aswell - they won't just hand it over
you can get condoms free at any family planning clinic
dont have to go to tesco's

In front of th
e Judge she only has to say that look I am mature enough to do sex and she can be let off by judge, I wish to see this happening in real life?.

A think there are moral arguments on both sides of this one, the truth is times are changing and there is a lot more cases of kids having kids.
20 years ago this would have been unthinkable and am sure to many Dads it still is ,Dad would be a lot more pi**** off if his daughter came home one evening and announced she is pregnant to shell suit Bob.
Had this been forced on kids a would probably hit the roof but there is nothing wrong with a open door policy.
Kids are way too quick at ditching their childhood now, they are surrounded by media that's easy accessible via the net and tv, half the bloody videos on MTV are nothing short of soft ~~~~ and then you get clowns like loveable dragon Theo Pamphlet who seems to think that manufacturing thongs aimed at 11 year old's is ok.
I am only 40 and am amazed at how different the world is for today's teenagers, i think when my generation was younger it was a lot more free with less pressure.
The social slide has played a massive part in this scheme, maybe even the primary reason as kids don't usually make good parents, why repeat the same mistake generation after generation.
If a teenage girl feels the need to use this scheme then she is aware that a baby at her age is bad news and she has made a wise choice imo.
You may be upset at the scheme all day long but you would be a helluva lot more upset if your kid announced she was having a kid."Windows - A thirty-two bit extension and GUI shell to a sixteen bit patch to an eight bit operating system originally coded for a four bit microprocessor and sold by a two-bit company that can't stand one bit of competition."Comment

'Statutory' rape really only applies to girls under the age of 13 as they are deemed too immature to consent.
13 or over and you get into a very grey area of the law, which is why the above story is occuring. Under the letter of the law it is still technically illegal but the girls 'consent' must be taken into consideration (13 and over a girl can technically give consent). It really depends on the circumstances. For instance, if the two parties are of a similar age then its highly unlikely Police/CPS would get involved although the younger the girl is, the closer the circumstances might be examined.
Over 12's are also generally deemed to be mature enough to seek medical advice for contraception without their parents permission. Its upto individual Dr's to evaluate a teenagers maturity and decide whether or not to prescribe. In all such cases a presumption of Dr/Patient confidentiality will exist regardless of the Dr's decision. The only exception appears to be if the Dr suspects some kind of abuse is occuring in which case he has a legal obligation of protection (note, a consenting sexual relationship between two teenagers is NOT, in itself, considered abusive).Last edited by TheCoder; 1 November, 2012, 01:54.Comment
