IMO its just greed from another celeb 'couple' who can buy what they want ..... While so many couples struggle to have kids and u get people like this buying them cause they can!! its sickening

They could of adopted. But it's only natural for people to want to have their own children, with their own DNA.

So they have the money to pay for a surrogate, is that such a crime? If you were unable to have kids, what would you do?

As long as the kids are told from an early stage about gay & straight relationships there should be no problems. Isn't it better for them to see a loving & caring relationship instead of the screaming, arguing & often violent relationships you see in most streets these days?

Wow i thought for a second elton had paid someone so he could have kids ...

All kidding aside i think what some members are trying to get across here is that any child needs balance and that can only come from a mother and a father combined!!! this unfortunately is something that is a major problem anyway as couples fight/divorce and remarry leaving some children in turmoil and usually without a father and sometimes without a mother..some parents realise it is best to stick together for the sake of their children of course but in a perfect world a loving family with a Mother and Father is definately what builds a strong child that can fly the nest and take on the big bad world..

Elton and his partner may even realise this tho and have specific nannys to develop the children in the normal way but other gay couples might not have the resources to do that.

One thing i am annoyed about tho is the announcement regarding their surrogate mother expecting their new baby and then the comment of not revealing the mother...of course it would be stupid to reveal who the mother was but why go to the press and say hehehehehe gimme a medal.... why cant they just keep these things to themselves..ok so it might be exposed at some point but its not illegal and certainly not tabloid news to me anyway.

Am not a expert on the media but its well known that Elton can't stand the tabloid press, a would think he has made it public before the press go digging and making stories up.
A have to admit a sometimes wonder about stars adopting kids but sometimes a think the press can be a little hard on them and paint a negative picture.
Elton has always went out his way for fellow stars with drug problems and seems to be a right mother sometimes, a think it was Ozzy that said that.

I agree with you mate that a kid is much more stable with two parents and the little things in family life can make a huge difference..
Little things like eating dinner at the table with your family, my parents simply wouldn't allow us to eat alone, you don't see that often now and its something kids miss out on.
A lot of kids today just don't have that balance and respect for their own family and don't appreciate that your family is the most important thing in life.
A feel lucky that a came from a big family, sometimes they can drive you nuts and sometimes they can pull you out of a bad situation.
A don't think Eltons kids will ever appreciate the common touch from a common family but they will get a better life than many kids worldwide..
