    this was taken in the 60's,the town only a couple miles from
    me,but where the pub is located its out in middle of nowhere
    and high up

              And heres me and mrs grumbles off to a pub on the edge of the north york moors over the christmas for a week like we always do,a bit snows never stopped us yet...

                  There's a bit of sidewalk round ther corner from me, don't care how much snow falls on it, i'm having a go at clearing a way through, my daily route to work, *HAVE* to get off and walk, all the peasants walking make it uneven, so i'm happy to grab a french word for horse and have a go

                    I remember many white christmas' as a kid. As well as blizzards strong enough to knock us off our feet.

                    A few years ago I took my little brother up into the hills where the snow was 5ft deep. All he did was complain that his feet were cold...f'ing wimp.

                      no not the lamb canker,that bars a bit too lively for me,were off to the royal oak near kirkby moorside,its a good old fashioned pub with great food,a couple of log fires and real ale.....and your right,kids these days dont know what a proper winter is,and the snow was much whiter when we were young...

                            How much longer will the rain and floods now snow to continue?
                            I have just about had enough of this.....
