Robbing the state blind in Italy

An Italian pensioner who has claimed benefits of 1000 euros a month for being blind since 2005 has been caught on film by police playing cards and giving directions to tourists in his home town of Vignola.

Police have seized 92,000 euros from his bank account, and if he is convicted, he faces five years in jail.

Few years ago when was younger, with my Mom and scabby sister in town, bloke with a white stick looking for a certain shop - he was outside it - so we opened the door and booted him in.

We went up town, in shop back out, he was then a good 5 min walk (for good person) up the town.

You have to wonder who would ask a bloke with a white stick for directions anyway with petrol the price it is,yes, just go down this road for five miles and turn left where the fish shop used to be....

By looking at that video it looks as if he was gambling with state money!!!!
