Generally you'll find that in your contract of employment that you are not allowed to discuss publicly anything that will impact on your employers organisation. That even comes down to tweeting something like "this place is a sh*thole", let alone "this place is about to go bust" - they can discpiline you for it, and not the nice type that your local dominatrix does either

Imagine the affect that "this place is going bust" would have on the share price of companies and you'll see why.

Aye, must be the unemployed, those on benefits and the low paid not spending enough - the government will come out with that as the reason soon

When the interest rates rise, which doesn't look to be happening this year, it will be interesting [excuse that one] to see the result. At this time the Bank of England base rate is 0.5% so where are the cheap mortgages you may ask, as would I since the government gave the banks money to get the housing market and loans market moving again. It failed and it failed because banks are keeping the interest rate high while paying out peanuts to savers. The banks are paying us back by the government awarding them contracts at hugely inflated costs, so we're paying our money back to ourselves - excellent con job.

Needless to say when the BOE base rate rises, so will mortgage rates and loan rates. Since they never went down really it will make it interesting for those who have taken loans and mortgages in the last few years. From bust to bust, with the banks and government rubbing their hands.

Typical, the banks didn't really need baling out anyway, just wanted the money, and it keeps those with no money in the same position or worse off.

ADMIN can we scrap the 'celerbtray death watch' thread and replace it with

'who is going bust next' thanks

                          right ok, OFF TOPIC:-

B&Q started as a tiny single branch hardware store, now they have branches all over the world

same with Focus DIY they went bust, MFI

how can you go from a tiny shop, big empire then bust?

There was here in M/C a company that employeed umpteen thick people to dig holes in roads

then they branced into making houses, then went bust

word on street said building market went slow over night, no income, opps file for off-line mode.

Unsure how true but another rumor some football club, been going for 100 yeras, then without warning

                          OOPS WERE GOING BUST, AARRRRHHHH.

then "Pannick over our fans have bailed us out, oh we had some spare land, sold that"

                          What, how why?

why could MFI, Focus, Comet HMV etc etc not ask for new user names and reopen?

There was a rumor this time LAST year 20 high street names would go off line.
