New rules for bailiffs industry

I' ve had debt collectors round ( they call themselves bailiffs but theyre nothing of the sort.) The lies include " if you dont pay us, we will force entry and take goods" they can't. "We will call the police to arrest you " the police may well attend but only to observe and to make sure there is no breach of the peace. These are lies to obtain monies from you. The law calls that fraud. There have always been laws to make debt collectors behave legally, but they always ignore them, as they probably will these laws. My advice, if a bailiff or debt collector calls, grab your phone and record everything they say.

+1 to that......debt collectors are thugs and scum mostly.....they are ruthless....sheriffs on the other hand are generaly bound by the law and are a little bit more civil.

What if one comes calling for someone else's debt at your property or you dispute the debt. Very nasty.
