Police have issued CCTV images of a man after teenage girls were smeared with semen in the street.
Officers believe the two attacks in Bury in January could be linked to similar incidents in the town three years ago when young girls found animal ejaculate on their clothes.
Forensic tests were carried out on white liquid taken after the latest offences, in Unsworth, but the DNA did not match any offenders on the police national database.
But detectives now have a DNA profile and believe they could trap the pervert if more potential victims come forward.
The original investigation was reopened when two girls came forward in January, after finding a sticky white substance on their clothes.
The first incident took place on Kennedy Drive at around 4.30pm on Friday, January 11, and the latest on Harris Drive at about 8.15am on Tuesday, February 5.
The victims have described the offender as a white man aged between 20 and 40-years-old and between 5ft 9in and 5ft 10in tall.
Detective Chief Inspector Sara Wallwork said: ?These are unusual crimes and quite frankly disgusting, due to the actions of the offender.
"This man has deliberately smeared semen onto schoolgirl's clothing and we are determined to find the person responsible. Distinctive jackets have been worn by the offender on separate occasions.?
In four incidents between November 2009 and January 2010 schoolgirls discovered they had been smeared with animal semen on their skirt or tights after being approached in Unsworth, Whitefield, Prestwich and Bury town centre.
DCI Wallwork added that in the original attacks, the offender had a black jacket with the number '74' in white on the left sleeve. More recently he had a distinctive jacket with a green, red and grey chequered pattern on the front, she said.
The officer said: "I want to appeal to potential family members, girlfriends and friends to look closely at the images of the man and the jackets. I am confident someone will know or recognise him and/or his jackets.?
