Could be very interesting next May when UK holds the Euro elections ,
watch all partys start panicking if they think UKIP looks like getting to many votes .
All three partys will then try mud slinging and name calling at ukip

Why would UKIP, a party opposed to being in the EU, want to be elected as MEP's apart from to join the gravy train of fast cash and expenses for doing absolutely f'all? Wasted votes by the blindfolded for people only interested in lining their own pockets.

UKIP do a good job within the EP voting down stupid ideas that could cost us a fortune. They're the only party that actively oppose a lot that the EP try to push through. It's worth checking out Farage on You Tube. He's pretty impressive regardless what a lot think of him. He's not shy about answering questions unlike most MPs.

So their 11 MEP's outvote the other 725 MEP's? Can I also have a salary of 86,000 euro's + expenses for voting no while the other 725 vote yes ? Must be a very hard life.

It's not just UKIP that vote against a lot of the EU regulations. They are part of the 'Europe of Freedom and Democracy'. An off shoot of MPs from different countries who also dislike a lot of what the EU is about. The UK isn't the only one to have anti EU MPs. Even if they don't have the numbers to vote some policies out they highlight stuff that would normally be passed with no questions and certainly make some UK MPs think twice before supporting some of the regulations. A bit like having a nosey neighbour.
