Shorts Ban: Swedish Train Drivers Wear Skirts

A group of Swedish train drivers have refused to hide their legs this summer, wearing skirts to get around a ban on shorts.

Rail operator Arriva ordered the ban, despite claims from one worker that cab temperatures can hit 35C when the sun is shining.

Spokesman Thomas Hedenius said staff should look "stylish and neat" but admitted the company could not prevent men wearing skirts to keep cool.
