The tickets handed out by traffic wardens already aren?t enough of a deterrent, minister warns

Parking in the wrong place could soon cost you ?130 after transport minister Norman Baker warned the current level of fines weren't enough of a deterrent.

At the moment parking fines outside of London are capped at ?70 ? but Baker this could rise by ?50 as people are not sufficiently put off by the current fines. He told the Transport Select Committee that fines are already under review.

The right way to do is to put public to prison why fine them? Rich people do not care how much you charge, lets put them behind bars.

FFS. Theres times when we have ALL parked on A yello line, yes i pointed out to the Gesparpo that there was a car parked on yello line for TWO days, i come back one hour later he got another 3 at the same time

yeh,put em in prison for illegal parking,also for being in charge of an automobile whilst dressed in clothes,and for good measure bring back the birch for walking on the cracks in the pavement,and just to free up the room for all these miscreants lets release all the paedo's,murderers and rapists

The level of the fine isn't the problem, it's the attitude that a lot of drivers have that's the real problem.

They just don't give a sh!t about anyone or anything.

I went to Collectables the other day. I parked in a disabled bay (I don't have a blue badge, but I am classed as disabled) that is very generous in size. When I came out a few minutes later, someone had parked between my car & the car in the next bay. Turning both disabled bays into standard sized bays. If I were a betting man I'd put money on the driver or passenger of the car wouldn't even be disabled.
