Thanks to the good old EU the minimum wage is open for abuse. When one of our lovely parties introduced it they overlooked the fact that you can employ someone from another EU country, as long as you employ them via that country you can pay them that countries minimum wage. Another reason why you have plenty of foreigners shipped in to do UK jobs.

The other big thing, which was almost mentioned in a couple of posts, these people are willing to share accommodations in order to lower living costs. Maybe that's how they have to live back in Poland, so no real hardship in comparison.
But the scum of this country demand their own place, so can't afford to work at minimum wage...which is all they will ever be offered due to attitude & lack of any qualifications &/or skills.

The only people who suffer with immigrants taking low wage jobs is the taxpayer. Cheap labor is anything but. The amount of social welfare they apply for out weights the benefits the supply. The only reason they come is because the government has destroyed any type of manufacturing that pays a decent wage and replaced it with a service economy. The best part is once the only jobs left are some type of low paying service they will have no money to spend in that area. You can only have so many convenience stores and restaurants. The answer is not raising the minium wage. The answer is getting rid of the global economy and putting your own country and it's taxpaying citizens first before some other country's poor they are dumping on you.
