I am sure that if everyone wore one, they would be banned .... The only reason why they are not banned is because nobody in parliament wants to be called a racist ! That's one sure fire way to lose a well paid job.

        PARTLY OFF TOPIC:-

If you wear a face mask as a Doctor to stop you spreading dieseses then fine.

NOT SURE WHO'S FAVOUR THIS IS IN:-

Tinted windows on the front of cars is illegal here in Ingland and also Eireland - Fuzz can make you remove it there and then, so why not one of these fly screens!

It all started when British judge that prevented a Muslim woman from giving evidence at a trial while wearing her niqab has sparked a debate in the UK over veils, so what does this teach us? Any 1 do not want to give evidence in the court of law will know what to wear, I have heard hundreds of dangerous villains in court when people have given witness evidence by either telephone or by video and face covered for reprisal so why this is deferent?

Wearing niqab should be woman's choice, says Theresa May

The Government should not tell women what to wear, the Home Secretary has said amid ongoing debate over the use of full-face veils.
On the topic, I firmly believe in the idea that feminism should not be about collectivised standardisation but rather freedom of individual expression. Women shouldn't feel cowed by the tyranny of a perceived majority into letting other women dictate how they should set their own standards, unless we want to turn UK like the third world country, like Saud Arabi even men can not walk showing legs

What does it matter what they wear. Before 9-11 it would be no problem but now i hate to say you need to be identified. They shouldn't complain since they are 99.9% of the terrorists in the world. They can't be trusted and Islam doesn't require them to wear it. Only the hardcore radicals require them to cover up. If the Muslims don't like it they can go back or go to a country that accepts it. I just wished they couldn't accept welfare like they can't take a loan from the bank.

Its not about 9/11 or being radical or not its about the rights of the women, I personally do not like any 1 covering the face but if he or she wants to wear it she is old enough to wear it that is good for me and because we live in a country of freedom and advanced civilisation.

What a load bullsh1t this isn't about tyranny or freedom of expression this about people hiding behind religion to re buck the laws of the land in the same way muslims are avoiding the bedroom tax because they are claiming they need an empty room to pray in. This is simply not true I have been in hundreds of houses where a simple alter has been set up in an area of a dining room or other quiet room in the house. Yes an empty room may be preferable but how many people living in a one room hut in their home country have a spare room set aside for praying. Oh that will be none then. If I was to walk down the street with a hood up and a scarf covering my face how long do you think it would be before I was stopped for acting suspiciously. Live by the laws of the country you live in. I'm a scotsman living in England but I'm not campaigning for free higher education as it is in my home country. I have chosen to live by English law and will live by Scottish Law when I go home.

Sort of on topic but sort of off it all at the same time.

Yes true m8. Family friend went to local council in Liverpool claiming to be Muslim and that forth bedroom is being used as a prayer room not a bedroom so there are now 4 of them living in 4 bedroom house that I am helping to pay for (sort of) but not losing any benefits

the difference is that this woman is the accused, not a witness, unlikely to be feared of reprisal judging by the charges levelled against her either.also lets state the facts of at least the case you are referring to,the judge only wants to her to remove veil when under cross examination and when answering questions,he feels the jury has the right to see her reactions and facial expressions at these times.the rest of the time she can sit in the dock wearing whatever she likes.

The simple solution would be to print an image of their faces onto the front of their hijabs.
