We have to follow what the politicians advice us to do and I do not give a toss what radical people have in mind when we have gone long way to stop slavery, force marriage, child labour, etc but we want to force those same women there rights to wear they feel as fashion or belief.

What did you expect to happen. A debate is where people voice their own opinions and for me the general feeling of the people who have participated is that they support the ban in the uk or would prefer just to lighten the mood a bit cause it doesn't matter what we say on dk the government won't give a flying f--- (sorry meaty but it's true)

Know somebosy who worked at an airport on security, couple were going on Vacation from Ingland to Endia or somewhere, she had this balacarva thing on, passpost photo showed full avatiar, but refused so show it to him, he offered to grab a female member of staff, to said the avatair matched the passport, they declinded, walked off and didn't catch that or any other flight out.

Hey Meat, they wouldn't have been going to India as they have less Muslims there than we do in Britain. India is predominantly Hindu and Sikh.

The full face veil is banned in TURKEY, a Muslim country. TUNISIA, another Muslim country had also banned it but this ban was lifted in 2011 after a revolution ! SYRIA, also a Muslim country had banned the wearing of full faced veils in Universities, MOROCCO, a Muslim country frowns upon the wearing of the full faced veil although they have not banned it yet, MALAYSIA a Muslim country banned public servants from wearing the veil and a judgment from the then Supreme Court of Malaysia cited that the niqab, or purdah, "has nothing to do with a woman's constitutional right to profess and practise her Muslim religion", because Islam does not make it obligatory to cover the face.
In EGYPT another Muslim country had previously banned the veil but this has been lifted however, the government does not encourage women to wear it, fearing it will present an Islamic extremist political opposition. INDONESIA has the largest single global population of Muslims in the world but the hijab is a relatively new phenomenon in Indonesia and wealthy women use the hijab as an excuse to wear their latest pr?t-?-porter designer label scarves.
In PAKISTAN, most women wear the Shalwar Kameez, a tunic top and baggy trouser set which covers their arms, legs and body. Westerners are also expected to dress modestly too. Pakistani society observes traditional dress customs and it is advisable for women to wear long skirts, baggy trousers and long sleeved tops or wear the traditional shalwar kameez in public.
And we worry about banning it because it is supposedly religious garment for the Muslim faith ?

If they ban this item of clothing it will be unfair on those that find it sexy. Personally I think they just wear it to tease. Also they say they are happy to remove it when in the presence of other females. They seam to be missing the point that some of these females may be bean flickers who perv at them more than males would.

It seams simple to me we must live by the rule of the country we are in..It don't bother me what folk wear. But in court rooms, boarder security, etc any face cover should be removed.. Simples.
