Cautions To Be Scrapped For Serious Crimes

Cautions for violent, sexual and drug offences will be scrapped, under reforms set to be announced by the Conservatives.

The party say the move will stop thousands of offenders who commit some of the most serious crimes escaping "with just a slap on the wrist".

New guidance will be issued immediately to ban the use of cautions for crimes including rape, manslaughter and robbery unless there are exceptional circumstances.

You mean to say they've been issuing cautions to people for rape, manslaughter and robbery? What a load of utter bollox from the Tory propaganda machine, you can tell it's conference week. If anyone has been given a caution for *any* of those offences the home secretary and justice minister need locking up in an insane asylum (though I already thought they needed locking up anyway).

Does that mean existing cautions will be scrapped aswell..?? meaning old cautions removed??

How can you have a caution if they dont exist??

Nothing going to change unless our officers suppose to do it says on the tin!!!!!

All bollocks when have the officers done a job we could be proud off look at the rape case 30 years a go did officers even cautioned Jimmy Savile raped 34 women, Stuart Hall, Rolf Harris but the prosecutors have now got the case open does this makes any sense, it only does when there is money to print.

Or is there is a political gain to be made. Those making this up seem to forget that it's been happening on their 'watch' and as such they have allowed it to happen, whether that is continue or start it doesn't matter. If it has been going on they knew and yet left it until the start of the conference...

It had also been the policy under labour
More than 100 rapists have been let off with a police caution, it was revealed yesterday. The 111 cases included 66 incidents of child rape

Have to agree whichever was in power it's bad and should never have happened. Kind of a coincidence that this came out yesterday?

Until next week and then everything that has been said in the last two weeks will be forgotten ,but both partys got the headlines they wanted
                    to keep they supporters happy

Err hang on, should that not be "Person-slaughter" for a start?

                      Secondly there differant 'grades' surley?

Say like that Mr Piss-Pot bloke, torched his house, killed his family, yes locked up, no DK for ever.

Then say boxing match, one kills another, it was not really person slaughter, it was a 'game/sport'

If somebody accidenly turns electric feed on and kills a sparky, depends on what and how, smack in face with wet fish.
